Do you like Rush (band)?
It was 2112, in Dog Years. Tom Sawyer was a Working Man with little Freewill who happened to be living in the Limelight, was Closer To The Heart intrigued by The Spirit of Radio and the thought of Making Memories. One day, he saw Vital Signs that made him decide to Cut To The Chase and sing an Anthem and a Nocturne while traveling between Hemispheres on his search for Xanadu, so he got in his Red Barchetta, and as he sang a Madrigal about A Farewell To Kings, drove past Lakeside Park, under The Trees, and narrowly escaped The Necromancer on his Passage To Bangkok. "I’m going to do the Best I Can!" he exclaimed. He considered this his One Little Victory, which made him fall Out Of The Cradle and Between The Wheels. “This is great,” he said to himself as Tears ran down his face. “A perfect example of Something For Nothing.” It was then that he realized that it was Bastille Day, which is the cause of his grief. “I’m just Finding My Way to La Villa Strangiato,” he declared hopelessly. He was surely in The Twilight Zone, but decided to Take A Friend and showed him his Before And After results of being In The Mood.; however, this did not help. “I Need Some Love,” he mumbled. “It doesn’t matter What You’re Doing, you are Here Again,” threatened a nearby Totem. That was his Distant Early Warning that he must don his Kid Gloves and Red Lenses, and get the heck over to Red Sector A. “This is a true feeling of The Body Electric, Entre Nous,” he said with a certain Afterimage in mind while he climbed Jacob’s Ladder. These were not the ideal Circumstances, as tonight was Cygnus X-1, and the Countdown had ended. By-Tor And The Snow Dog had escaped Rivendell, due to their Different Strings snapping. The two dogs were Losing It and decided to Fly By Night to the nearby Subdivisions, killing The Analog Kid, the Digital Man, Mr. Soul, the Cinderella Man, and some nearby Chemistry and Natural Science students with The Weapon from Beneath, Between, and Behind. This could mean only one thing: It was the night of the Witch Hunt, under The Camera Eye. The Superconductor was activated. This was going to lose all of The Big Money that the Manhattan Project had aquired with all of these Grand Designs, which meant many peoples’ Middletown Dreams would be lost to High Water that is Force Ten times over. Mystic Rhythms had caused the Emotion Detector to go off, sounding a Far Cry, and immediately infecting all Marathon runners with Scars, Chain Lightning, War Paint, and Roll(ing) The(ir) Bones, Hand Over Fist Style. Meanwhile, over at Alien Shore, the place with Red Tide, Cold Fire caused an evil Tai Shan to appear at a Mission. This was the Prime Mover who held the Lock And Key to all of our Open Secrets and could Turn The Page, consume all Available Light, and roll The Big Wheel six miles, all while making Time Stand Still. This was its Second Nature. It recieved an Anagram from The Pass – "Show Don’t Tell. You Bet Your Life that I’ll be Working Them Angels." This was the Bravado that it had been waiting for, a Heresy that ruined its Dreamline, causing it to Face Up to any Neurotic(a) man with Armor And Sword. This caused it to wonder, "Where’s My Thing?" It had Driven around Half The World in backwards Time And Motion before it decided to Carve Away The Stone, so it could Resist the Vitruality of The Color Of Right. This was its ultimate Test For Echo, but the results only caused it to do the Limbo at The Speed Of Love, which made it Stick It Out even farther. Soon, a Ghost Rider with a Heart Full Of Soul showed up at the Crossroads and declared himself to be The Seeker who could take anything For What It’s Worth. He was probably the first Faithless person to declare that Seven And Seven is 14, and could even change the Shapes Of Things and The Way The Wind Blows. It was a beligerent expression of Malignent Narcissism that if you sang about the Summertime Blues around him, you will Freeze, have Cieling Unlimited, see more Earthshine than sunshine, have no knowledge of The Main Monkey Business (AKA the government), will be sent on a Spindrift with no notification other than a short phrase, "We Hold On, keep your Bravest Face and have Hope," never get Good News First, and have not have another Sweet Miracle. This would surely Animate a Vapor Trail, but that’s just How It Is when The Stars Look Down upon a Peaceable Kingdom. In The End, the Everyday Glory of a Double Agent that happened to be Nobody’s Hero is nothing greater than Cold Fire that’s Between Sun & Moon.
